cornish birds
van linsboven met de klok mee: een zingende merel (singing blackbird), een roodborsttapuit (stonechat), een mannetjerstorenvalk (male kestrel) en boerenzwaluwen (barn swallows)

eens toen ik bij de mieren
in Zwitserland woonde
hoorde ik dat de wijsheid
een bergbeek voorstelt,
klaterend uit de hemel
maar ik luisterde niet
later wachtte
ik voor de open rots
maar de uren smolten
het blauwe kristal niet
eindelijk viel
een lange regen
in mijn voetstappen.
