seizoenen
Wat doet die boom nou?
'Raap dat meteen op!'
zou een moeder zeggen.
Maar de herfst heeft geen moeder.

eens toen ik bij de mieren
in Zwitserland woonde
hoorde ik dat de wijsheid
een bergbeek voorstelt,
klaterend uit de hemel
maar ik luisterde niet
later wachtte
ik voor de open rots
maar de uren smolten
het blauwe kristal niet
eindelijk viel
een lange regen
in mijn voetstappen.
-Hans Lodeizen, 1948-
